Eddisons Commercial's Manchester office was the latest venue for our Basement and Structural Waterproofing CPD presentation.......

The presenter Sean Tristram-Jones has years of experience, both as basement waterproofing specifier as well as hands on experience installing basement waterproofing systems, he is also a certified waterproofing specialist, holding the CSSW (Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) qualification.

The structural Waterproofing presentation, forms part of our continual personal development plan for specifiers, keeping them up to date with of BS8102, The British Standards for waterproofing below ground structures.

Areas covered included the revised BS 8102:2009 "code of practice for protection of below ground structures against water from the ground"; type A and type C waterproofing methods; hybrid waterproofing designs and; supervision and on-site modifications - how to handle these inevitable design changes and what to look out for and what to avoid (see Sean's recent article on this very subject here).

Vandex Cementitious 'tanking' type methods, Oldroyd cavity drain membrane systems and Fosroc Proofex are used and explained. A range of MC injection waterproofing materials were demonstrated also.
